I think I know who wrote this, and if I don't... well, I still loved it. :D

I've read exactly one HP book, I think, but god, this is beautiful prose. And sharp, witty, believable dialogue, too, which makes it doubly impressive: that you can shift from the poetry of the narration to these characters' voices, colloquial or inarticulate or enraged or whatever, with no effort. I don't know these people, not really, but I felt bereaved with them here, because this story is so infused with loss. Specific loss, but also the normal losses that go along with daily life. And you put, as you say, "sense and beauty" into those losses.

Gorgeous. Seriously.

PS: I laughed so hard at the Ron/Ali G "isn't he being ironic?" bit that I choked.
