Ooh, yay for this. I like this both about the original and yours, mystery writer: the chance to see Cuddy from a different angle, still herself, but with a different facet illuminated... I like the small character moments, the relationships that aren't the focus but that bring Cuddy to the reader in a new way. Very nicely done.
