Very cool. It's been so long since I've seen the show that I can't vouch for the voices, but the characterization seems true-to-canon, and I like this scene very much.
Logan had watched the transition, watched as Alec got curious about it, struggled and rebelled against it, experimented with it. Made predatory circles around it like he wasn't sure whether it was something he should take out first, before it got the better of him.
That line was pretty much worth the price of admission for me, and
"You think Alec'll have kids of his own one day?" Logan ventures, maybe more curious about Max's reaction to the question than the actual answer.
"I hope so," Max says.
is a great punchline. I also really appreciate your remixing strategy (which is one of the most fun aspects of this 'thon for me) and the resonances with the original fic that don't overpower your own vision for the characters at this moment.
