Oh, I really love this—John missing Rodney, and thinking about him, and worrying about him, and then that perfect, hard-won moment of realization—he felt suspended between the past and the future, possibilities opening inside him, things that he never knew he wanted suddenly here for the taking if he'd only reach out and "I didn't know" and John knew - knew - in that split second where this would lead and decided to jump—SO shivery and lovely!
