Whoah. This was a gut-punch of a story, there. I had to take a little time to reprocess it and re-read it. The way you wove in the scenes from the past, especially the bits with Peter, it was just so delicate and right. This the way the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper. I mean this was just so beautiful and sad and sweet and carefully observed. I wrote a story once where Remus told Harry they were all just happy he was born, no prophecy needed. It's a concept that just pings my stomach and you handled here so painfully well. Thanks so much for writing this, it gave the original clarity and shading. Delicious. Wonderful!
