<3 Lorne! I love that you pulled details from the original fic & made it something completely different but still thematically tied in to how the Atlantis family protect their own.
Lorne does seem to be more politically savvy than McKay, or at least more guarded in canon - I could totally see him being able to both read between the liens to find the story behind the AAR and to be able to craft the AARs to pass muster w/ the politicos back on Earth.
