Okay, I admit that when I saw "Sex in the City" crossover and "Laura Cadman" in the header I quailed a little, but this is totally awesome. The dishy style works perfectly, the details and asides are hilarious--Lindsay's little grey friend, oh my God--and I love that Sheppard's clearly mortified, but the story isn't an embarrassment-fest.
I really like the way you pulled details from my drabble and from the rest of Helenish's post--it makes your story funnier (the addition of the flap is great), plus the result is, like, community-based fanfic or something. It's more broadly collaborative than remix usually is; it's cool.
PLUS, third party POV of the original drabble, McKay/Sheppard innuendo, Zelenka and the security feed, Sheppard wearing his gift...there might be stories out there more perfectly tailored to my wishes, but I haven't found them. Thank you so much!
