Personal Territory

Akira Touya could be oh so very annoying and clingy when he was drunk, Hikaru realized, gritting his teeth in annoyance.

Of course, he just had to throw a party and the punch, which had previously been a "virgin", had become tainted by alcohol. By someone he would determinedly kill by the end of tomorrow.

"Touya, let go," he commanded, struggling further from the drunken boy's grasp. It wasn't as though the boy would do what he said any time soon.

With eyes dulled from the toxic poison consumed in the past hour, Akira gave a lopsided grin. How in the world the dignified Go Pro got drunk was a wonder. "Why Hi-ka-ru?" he asked, singing the bi hair-colored boy's name.

Hikaru made a face and struggled more to get free from his position underneath Akira. Hearing the loud beats above, he vaguely thought to himself: the party’s still in swing.

However, the Go Pro had other ideas. Instead of letting his rival up and helping him as what the usual Akira would have done if he had not been induced into such a state, he pushed Hikaru back down onto the cool, hard surface of the basement.

Why oh why did this have to happen? Hikaru had only just gone to the basement to retrieve a few more plastic cups after Akari had mentioned they were running low on the darn things.
Just when he was heading back up, Akira had somehow appeared and jumped him, knocking several cups out of his hands in the process.

Ah, Hikaru remembered, turning his head to the said item. It was still lying there, almost forgotten.

The smile was still plastered on Akira's face when he glanced to where Hikaru had been staring. "Whatcha lookin' at, Hikaruuu?" he asked.

"J-Just cups, Touya," he told the boy, laughing nervously.
What’s with the strange look on his face? he asked himself as his arms moved up to the drunk boy's waist to push him off.

Hikaru froze as Akira suddenly seemed to interpret the movement as a sign for warmth, for he had let himself fall on top, nuzzling Hikaru's neck.

This is not happening, Hikaru thought, feeling too hot. Though, his brain murmured as he felt his shoulders relax, it did feel good.

No. This isn’t right, one side of his mind told him. But if feels right, the other argued.

He stiffened while his brain argued with one side to the other. Oh screw it, he thought, and let the boy wrap his arms around him.

It does feel warm, he thought to himself sleepily as the boy soon fell limp on top of him.

"Hikaru?" a voice from atop the stairs called out. Hikaru widened his eyes and froze. No way, that was NOT Akari up there.

"Hikaru?" the feminine voice asked once again.

Oh no, oh no. Not her. Anyone but her. Why her?! He asked himself as he struggled to get back up from his position now lying down on the cool floor with Touya on top him.

"Oh! Hikaru..."

Hikaru looked up at the mention of his name, blood draining from his cheeks.

"Uh, hi there Akari!" he cheerfully greeted her through the loud music above and dimly lit basement.

She stared at him with a blank look before realizing what was "going on". Her cheeks flushed a pale pink and she looked away.

"Hikaru..." Her tone was of a mother scolding. "You shouldn't be doing that to someone who’s sleeping."

Hikaru glanced at the sleeping Go Pro and groaned. Why wasn't Akari drunk?

She frowned. "What are you still doing on the floor?" she asked, now moving over to the pair and bending down.

After a brief moment of silence, she continued. “Help me pull him up and get him into bed.”

"What?! But why me?" he complained, looking up at Akari.

She growled. "Because you were the one lying underneath him!" She proceeded to drag one of Touya's arms over her shoulder and lifted him so that Hikaru would be able to crawl out.

When he didn't, she hissed, "What are you waiting for? Get out!"

"I can't! My legs are numb!" he whispered frantically.

“What?” Akari hissed. She looked around and gently set Touya next to Hikaru. Hikaru twitched. Too close…

She reached over and let her hands run over Hikaru’s legs, slowly massaging the numb muscles. Hikaru’s cheeks began to heat up with embarrassment and slowly, he moved his leg up to see how they were faring.

“Better?” Akari asked, smiling like the devil himself.

Hikaru slowly got up. “Right,” he muttered, bending over to help Akari pick up Touya.

He reached for one of Touya’s arms and slung it over his shoulder. Akari did the same and the both of them half-carried and half-dragged Touya up the stairs and into the party.

Hikaru glanced at Touya to see if the any of the loud music would wake him up and send him to the nearest bathroom; however, the Go Pro seemed to be in deep sleep.

Akari smiled, noticing Hikaru’s worried glance. “Touya really is kind, huh, Hikaru?”

Hikaru’s head shot up and he stared at Akari with a confused expression. What was she talking about?

Nevertheless, he turned away and noticed that everyone else other than Miyabita Yuki seemed drunk… Hm… Why wasn’t Yuki drunk?

The boy across the room seemed to notice Hikaru’s suspicious stare and with a start, he looked away, walking off to who-knows-where.

Hikaru frowned and turned back to Akari. “Where’s his room anyways?” he asked, directing the question to the female beside him.

She smiled. “Up the stairs…” she replied, maneuvering the trio over to the stairs.

Touya gave a grunt but stayed still and sleeping as the two lifted him up and into a random room.

“Gently…” Akari muttered as Hikaru slowly laid the drunken Go Pro onto the futon. “There…”

She reached for the blankets and slowly covered Touya. With that deed finished, she backed away and glanced at Hikaru.

“What were you two doing down there anyways?” she asked, giving a small wink.

Hikaru started, backing away from the fangirl. “N-Nothing… I was looking for cups, remember?” he answered.

She smiled once again and seemed to understand another scenario. “Touya-kun is a good person…” she murmured.

Hikaru looked up at her words.

“He really loves Go huh, Hikaru?” she mused.

He looked away and found himself staring at the sleeping boy.

“Just like you, Hikaru.”

He smiled, “Ah, just like me…”

“A-ka-ri!!” several drunken voices called from downstairs, directing both Hikaru and Akari’s attention towards the floor below.

Akari glanced at Hikaru apologetically. “Coming!” she answered and disappeared in the hallway.

Hikaru didn’t really mind… In fact, he almost liked it… Being in the room alone with Touya was, in the least bit, comforting. He smiled and watched the sleeping boy breathe.

He had to admit; Touya Akira was handsome.

Hikaru cocked his head in confusion as he stared after the running Yuki. What was the guy apologizing about? He asked himself as a hand squeezed his own.

He turned and smiled at Touya. “Good morning Touya!” he greeted cheerfully.

Touya’s eyes seemed to smile back despite his state last night.

“Good morning.”
