Oooooh, I really hoped you were going to turn it out differently there at the end, but the way you ended it was just perfect -- all her thoughts at the end, thinking about the joy Hogwarts had brought her, it was just the perfect definition of "sacrifice." Lovely and haunting and so Hermione. Now, however, I am going to retreat to a happy place where she lives. Yaaaay! ;) But thanks so much for this, it was very in character and very, very lovely.
