We Invented the Remix...Redux V

this? this is perfect. i love that baseball is the one thing besides hunting that dean's good at and the one thing besides hunting and dad and sam that really matters to him, the one thing that really makes him happy. i love that he sometimes watches games on tv and thinks "that could be me" even tho he knows he'd NEVER give up hunting, because it would mean leaving his dad and brother, and when he gets kicked off the team in high school i love that he tries to be an ass to the coach and puts on a front that it doesn't actually really really hurt to lose his one little bit of normal.

Dad looks him up and down, quiet for so long that Dean thinks he's going to get yelled at; he squares his shoulders and waits for it, but Dad just says, "Good game?" broke my heart a little because john looks at his son and sees the life they should have, and he's pleased that for once dean gets to be just like any other eight-year-old.

(and Sam asks if the Red Sox are really cursed, and if they're going to Boston to break it just made me giggle because i really want someone to write dean's reaction to the sox winning the series in 2004, and i really want the boys to come to boston, and i can totally picture sammy's response to the (broken! ^_^ ) curse.)

and i love that dean never tells sam how much he misses it, but sam still knows.
