Following bironic's thesis on this at her LJ, I feel like there's nothing more I can add. This was one of those fics with too many good lines and too many brilliant characterization insights and small phrases to choose a favorite from. Your House is House, the I-can-hear-Hugh-Laurie-in-my-head kind, and this... you did an amazing job of showing the disintegration of Wilson's marriage from House's POV. And also, I adored this: "I just meant," House says, "drinking isn't one. This is." Hee! Even when he's being an avoiding idiot, he does it with style.
